About Rod
I'm an Australian citizen of Venezuelan and Chilean background (Aussie dad, Chilean-Venezuelan mum). I'm married to a Hungarian woman, and we live in Greece at the moment.
My first job ever was as a pizza delivery boy on a motorbike. I've worked in restaurants, hotels, and cruise ships. I am an English teacher and a web designer/developer by trade, but I've also worked as a landscaper, an A/V tech and a truck driver.
I enjoy DIY, scuba diving, playing guitar, swimming in the sea, travelling (I've been to more than 30 countries on 4 continents), cooking, and caring for my cats and stray cats and dogs too.
I speak English and Spanish natively, and I also speak Italian and French at an intermediate level. I'm not that good yet at Hungarian (my wife's native tongue), and I'm learning Greek, as I currently live in Greece. I've been in multicultural relationships my whole life, and I've always felt like I don't belong in any country, but I love to adapt and learn some of the local language. I also have a YouTube channel called: @genxdiaries

I'm a Gen X dude, born in the mid-70s, who's lived in 6 different countries over 3 continents. I've held many jobs, had many relationships, been up, been down, had money, been broke, have started all over again a few times. So I can listen and try to share my own experiences to find viable solutions. I'm not a qualified psychologist or therapist. I'm just a good listener with a plethora of life experience.
