About Katrina
I am a certified Kindergarten teacher with experience supporting K–6 learners in literacy, math, science, social studies, and ESL. I create a warm, inclusive learning environment where students feel confident and supported. My lessons are clear, engaging, and tailored to each child’s needs and interests. I have worked with children of all abilities, including students with special needs and ESL learners. Families can trust that their child will receive patient guidance, consistent routines, and strong instructional knowledge. Teaching Method & Techniques
I use an inclusive, student-centred approach. I build lessons around each child’s interests, strengths, and learning style. My sessions include clear modelling, guided practice, visuals, games, and simple explanations to make learning engaging and confidence-building.
Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-Up: A quick activity to activate their brain and help them settle into learning.
Main Lesson: Focus on the concept or skill they need the most support with, with a clear goal for the session.
Closure: Review what we learned and identify the next step for future lessons.
What Sets Me Apart
I am a certified teacher with ESL certification and classroom experience in early learning skills. I understand how young learners develop and adapt lessons to meet their individual needs.
