About Ahreum

Hi! I'm a native Korean speaker with a deep love for literature and language.
I've spent over 10 years working in education, so teaching comes naturally to me — and I genuinely enjoy helping others learn.

These days, I work as a professional translator, mainly in games and marketing (EN-KO), while also studying Korean language education to better support learners.

My goal is to help you feel confident using Korean, while also sharing the rhythm, nuance, and beauty of the language.

About the lesson

I use the Sejong Korean series as a core material, which offers a well-balanced approach to grammar, vocabulary, and conversation.
Alongside the textbook, I often bring in real-life examples, cultural context, and casual expressions to help learners feel more comfortable using Korean in real situations.

My lessons are 1:1 and typically run for 50 minutes, with flexibility depending on your schedule and goals.
I adapt the structure based on your level, learning style, and interests — whether that's day-to-day conversation, grammar drills, or exploring Korean literature and writing.

I hold a BA in Korean Literature, work as a professional translator, and am currently studying Korean language education formally.
Over time, I've helped learners with various goals — from beginners building their first sentences, to advanced learners working on nuance, fluency, or translation skills.

Lessons are open to all levels, and I especially welcome learners who are:

just starting out with Hangul
looking to improve their conversation and grammar
curious about Korean storytelling, literature, or translation
