About River

Hi! I'm River, a native Korean speaker born and raised in South America, currently living in London!

I've always loved meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning about different cultures. Living abroad has made me realise just how much language can bring people together, and that's exactly what inspired me to start teaching Korean.

I'm naturally friendly, easy-going, and always up for a good conversation. I believe the best way to learn a language is to feel comfortable enough to make mistakes, ask questions, and simply enjoy the process.

I'm not here to be a strict teacher who makes you memorise endless grammar rules. I'd rather be someone who helps you build confidence, understand Korean culture, and genuinely enjoy speaking the language.

**Think of me as your Korean friend who also happens to be your tutor!**

About the lesson

I believe Korean is more than just a subject to study — it's a way to connect with people, share stories, and express yourself.

That's why my lessons focus on real communication rather than simply memorising grammar rules and vocabulary.

I want my students to feel like they're learning Korean with a friend, not sitting through another boring class. We'll laugh, make mistakes, have interesting conversations, and most importantly, make real progress!

My lessons are relaxed and enjoyable, but always structured and focused on helping you improve.

Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to become more confident in speaking Korean, I'll make sure you feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn.

**Because learning a language should be fun, but you should also walk away knowing you've actually learnt something!**
