About Rushi
Hi, I'm Rushi, a Grade 12 student in Oshawa with a strong academic background in STEM and real tutoring experience. I currently tutor at Kumon and serve as a peer tutor at my school, where I work regularly with students who are struggling with exactly the subjects I teach. I know what it feels like to sit in a math class and have something just not click. That experience makes me a better tutor, I explain concepts the way a student actually thinks, not the way a textbook presents them. I am patient, organized, and I will not move on until you genuinely understand the material. Outside of tutoring, I am Vice President of DECA, Executive of Finance on my Student Council, and the founder of my school's STEM and Robotics Club. I take academics and responsibility seriously, and I bring that same attitude to every session I teach. Whether you are preparing for a test, catching up on missed material, or just want to get ahead, I am here to help you build real confidence in math.

Math clicked for me when someone finally explained it the right way, and that is exactly what I try to do for my students. I am a high-achieving Grade 12 student in Oshawa with hands-on tutoring experience through Kumon and my school's peer tutoring program. I teach Math, Trigonometry, and Algebra to students from Grade 6 to Grade 11. Every lesson starts with a quick check-in to understand what the student knows and where the confusion is. Then we slow down on that exact point, work through it together, and build up from there with practice problems and real examples. I never rush through material just to cover it, understanding comes first. Because I went through these courses recently, I remember what it actually feels like to not understand something. That makes me a different kind of tutor, one who explains things the way a student thinks, not the way a textbook writes. Lessons are flexible and available in person in the Oshawa area.
