About Gabe

About Me: Born and raised in New York, I've been acting since my early teens and haven't stopped since. My passion for performance has taken me from student productions to professional stages, most recently featuring as a voice artist in an international LEGO commercial. Along the way, I've written and directed my own sci-fi play that premiered at the LAMDA ColLab festival. My diverse background includes service as a translator in the U.S. Navy and work in software engineering – experiences that have sharpened my attention to detail and problem-solving skills, which I bring to every lesson. This combination of creative and analytical thinking helps me break down complex acting concepts into clear, actionable steps for my students. I draw inspiration from versatile performers like Robin Williams, Tom Hanks, and Sam Rockwell – actors who seamlessly blend technical excellence with authentic emotion. Like them, I believe in finding the truth in every performance, whether it's a dramatic monologue or a comedic scene.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring: I believe in finding the truth in performance through careful attention to detail and embracing the learning process – including the stumbles along the way. My sessions create a space where you can build confidence through practical exploration and honest feedback. Teaching Style: Drawing from my extensive actor training and professional experience, I'll guide you through character development, text analysis, and performance skills that help you deliver authentic, compelling performances. We'll work methodically but creatively, pushing past comfort zones while building solid technique. Lesson Length: 30 to 90-minute sessions, tailored to your goals and energy levels. Qualifications & Experience: I hold an MFA from LAMDA and a Bachelor's Degree from Columbia University, with additional training from The Barrow Group and Atlantic Acting School (NYC) and The Lir Academy (Dublin). Since 2018, I've worked professionally across theatre, film, commercials, and voiceover, bringing real-world insights to every lesson.
