About Janna

Hi! My name is Janna, and I’m a Latina woman with a deep passion for my culture and language. Spanish has always been an important part of my life — it’s how I connect with my roots, my people, and my heritage. I’m excited to share that passion with young learners and help them build a strong foundation in Spanish. Additionally, my experience working with children has taught me the value of patience, creativity, and consistency. I strive to create a positive, supportive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to speak, explore, and enjoy the learning process. Whether your child is brand new to Spanish or looking to strengthen their skills, I’m here to help them grow with confidence.

About the lesson

• Teaching Method & Techniques: My approach is all about making Spanish fun and approachable for both kids learning or struggling! I use interactive methods like games, songs, flashcards, role-playing, and storytelling to keep kids engaged and excited to learn. I also incorporate cultural elements to bring the language to life.

• Typical Lesson Plan: Each 30-60 minute session focuses on a specific theme (like food, colors, animals, or days of the week). We’ll start with a warm-up activity, introduce new vocabulary, practice through a hands-on game or song, and end with a short review or creative activity like drawing or matching.

• What Sets Me Apart: As a Latina woman, I bring authentic cultural knowledge and a passion for language to every lesson. I’m not just teaching words – I’m sharing a cultural experience. I prioritize patience, positive reinforcement, and making sure kids feel confident using what they’ve learned!
