About Leyal

Hi, I’m Leyal. I’m originally from Istanbul, Turkey, and I’ve been living in London for the past 10 years. I’m deeply inspired by different cultures and traditions and love working with people from diverse backgrounds.

I graduated from London College of Fashion (UAL), where I studied Fashion Textiles and Print, and I’m currently working freelance on multiple projects with various brands.

My goal is to help students and applicants go through the portfolio process as smoothly and confidently as possible. Having studied and worked within UAL, and collaborated with people from many different backgrounds, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how to build clear, creative, and well-structured portfolios.

About the lesson

Hi,
I help people build strong, unique portfolios. I know the process can be stressful, so I aim to make it supportive and fun. Although I’m new to this platform, during and after my studies I’ve helped many applicants develop their portfolios and gain places at great universities.

I usually do weekly FaceTime sessions to gather inspiration and talk through the steps we’ll follow. Throughout the rest of the week, we stay in touch almost daily to track progress and developments. I approach this as teamwork, and it’s always an enjoyable and motivating process to work through together:)
