After 20 years of teaching expertise,  I started another Master course in music therapy, my research is how to make the kids & adults smarter and fix various stress level and  disorders in the brain through music.

Lessons are tailored for each student and all levels.

Music theory is taught along the way.

ABRSM exam learners will have lesson time spread into 4 sections

*scales and arpeggios
*exam pieces
*sight reading
*aural training

I have master degree in piano too, I usually accompany my violin students on the piano during the lesson, this way they get a broader idea of the musical sense. Save money to hire piano accompanist for exams too.

I host 2 concerts a year for students to perform in front of their families. The purpose is to boost their confidence on stage, the concert usually followed by a small party and gifts, a little family event that hopefully create happy memories forever.

  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

I fell in love with piano when I was 4 years old, I participated in my brother's YAMAHA group lesson and studied music at school all the way until Masters level.
  • 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I play rock, jazz, pop, classical and bollywood music. I love all genres of music. However, any particular type of music on loop for hours will definitely drive me crazy because I like variety in life.
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

I came to the UK on a music scholarship from Birmingham Conservatoire. I am familiar with music school auditions and can teach up to master's degree in music.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

I'm sure everyone thinks their instruments are the most difficult one, but from the bottom of my heart I will have to say it's Violin. It sounds like killing a rooster 🐔 no matter who first starts to learn.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

    Confident | Professional | Fun
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting.

I already met my dream musician, Laurence Jackson, formal leader of CBSO and current leader of South Australia Orchestra. He was my violin tutor during my postgraduate course.
  • 7) Tell us an anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

Once I left my violin in front of a shop when I was 8, I was too scared to tell my parents, after a week when I went to my violin lesson, the tutor asked me where is your violin? I said I lost it. She nearly fainted… In the end, the violin was found along with my one week old lunchbox.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

It would have to be my character. I'm from Taiwan, and we are known for being friendly, fun, happy and energetic. I also have perfect pitch.
