About Jeevan

I’m a professional Bansuri (Indian Bamboo Flute) teacher with 9+ years of teaching experience, both online and offline. I hold a Master’s degree in Music with a specialisation in Bansuri from IIT (BHU) and am UGC-NET qualified in Music.

I have trained in the Banaras Gharana tradition and have been teaching students from India, the USA, Europe, Canada and other parts of the world since 2017.

I teach students of all ages and levels — from complete beginners discovering the Bansuri for the first time to experienced musicians looking to deepen their understanding of Indian classical music.

My teaching combines authentic Indian classical training with a clear and modern approach to online learning. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to your level, interests and goals.

Whether you want to learn Indian classical music, ragas, devotional or Bollywood melodies, improve your flute technique, or simply enjoy playing the Bansuri, I will guide you step by step in a supportive and professional learning environment.

About the lesson

My lessons combine the traditional Guru–Shishya approach of Indian music with structured and personalised online teaching.

Each lesson is designed around your current level and goals, with a clear path for practice between classes.

Depending on your interests, we can work on:

Bansuri posture, fingering and technique
Producing a clear and beautiful flute tone
Breath control and stability
Notes, scales and melodies
Indian ragas and classical music
Improvisation and musical expression
Devotional, folk and Bollywood melodies
Preparing pieces for performances
Developing confidence and musicality

After lessons, I can provide practice material such as recordings, notation and exercises to help you continue learning between classes.

I also use tools such as tanpura and tabla/lehra accompaniment to make online lessons more musical and engaging.

My goal is not simply to teach you what to play, but to help you understand the music so that you can gradually become a confident and independent Bansuri player.

Regular lessons are 40$/hour.
