About Christopher
Hi, my name is Christopher Quinn. I'm a bass player and freelance musician and for the past few years I've been working with several projects all over the UK. I graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in jazz with honours of the first class in 2024. I was also a recipient of the Alan McAuley jazz award for career development upon finishing my studies. Since then, I've become one of the most in-demand musicians in Glasgow, where I'm based.
I've worked as a sideman - recording and performing - in several projects of varying styles, including: Jazz, Rock, Punk, Indie, Metal, Funk, Bluegrass, Folk, Hip-Hop, Pop, Soul, Jungle, DnB and more.

I believe the best way to learn music is to enjoy your practice. I don't think it should be a chore to practise, more like a form of meditation.
I tailor lessons around the student and their needs. that way, the student gets what suits them best as an individual, rather than forcing the same template on everyone.
I teach out of my lovely flat in the Southside of Glasgow, in my rehearsal/studio space 15 minutes walk from Glasgow Central, or alternatively I can do Zoom lessons. I teach in 30/60 minute blocks.
