About DISHANK
I am a clinical statistical programmer and AI engineer working in the pharmaceutical industry in Canada, with experience supporting oncology clinical research and developing AI-enabled workflows.
My work involves clinical trial data, statistical programming, clinical reporting, quality control, and collaboration with clinical and statistical teams. This industry experience helps me explain how statistical concepts and programming techniques are applied in real clinical development settings.
My areas of interest include biostatistics, SAS programming, SQL, Python, R, clinical trial reporting, CDISC SDTM and ADaM standards, and AI applications in pharmaceutical research. I am also developing my knowledge of real-world evidence, observational research, healthcare data models, and causal inference.
I enjoy breaking down complex statistical and clinical concepts into understandable steps and connecting theory with practical examples. My lessons are adapted to each learner's background, from foundational statistics and programming to more advanced topics in clinical trials and healthcare analytics.
My goal is to help you strengthen your technical skills, understand the drug development process, and prepare for academic work or a career in clinical research, biostatistics, statistical programming, or health data science.

My lessons focus on biostatistics, statistical programming, clinical trials, pharmaceutical drug development, health technology, and real-world evidence (RWE). I help students and professionals connect statistical theory with practical applications in clinical research and the pharmaceutical industry.
Topics include descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis testing, p-values, confidence intervals, regression analysis, survival analysis, Kaplan–Meier curves, Cox proportional hazards models, and interpreting clinical trial results. We can also explore clinical trial design, endpoints, randomization, safety and efficacy analysis, and the different phases of drug development.
For statistical programming, I can help you understand SAS, SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, quality control, and reporting. We can cover clinical data standards such as CDISC SDTM and ADaM, as well as tables, listings, and figures (TLFs) used in clinical study reporting.
For learners interested in health technology and real-world evidence, lessons can introduce electronic health records, claims data, observational studies, OMOP Common Data Model, epidemiology fundamentals, confounding, causal inference, and the use of real-world data to generate evidence about treatments and patient outcomes.
I can also introduce applications of AI in clinical research, statistical programming, and healthcare analytics.
