About Alec

I'm a lifelong learner, fresh out of high school, but don't let that fool you. I know what is expected in exams and am well acquainted with the curriculum. I have years of experience helping my friends reach their academic goals. I love teaching just as much as learning new things. Academic success (matric): - I missed 7 distinctions by 3%. - I achieved 91% in pure math. - I had an overall average of 81.25%. During my school career, I was also chosen to compete in the math olympiad. With IT, CAT, Science, and Accounting being 4 of my 8 subjects, I had more than enough interesting work to keep myself busy.

About the lesson

In my lessons I focus on 3 things:

1. Answering questions
Answering questions is my first priority. I patiently explain until my students understand the concepts in detail.

2. Practice
I work through challenging and stimulating problems that prepare my students for exams. These problems allow my students to confidently continue their learning journey on their own.

I'm not here to give you food, but to teach you to hunt.

3. Explain concepts
Whenever my students struggle with a problem, I help them through it. I teach them my process of answering questions and break each step down until the problem seems TOO easy.

Learning should be fun.
