About Janina
I taught preschoolers, elementary/high school students, and postgraduate PhD learners prior to their scholarships abroad. I was involved in ESL to military officers and new immigrants. Lately, I was teaching international students from Korea. I am passionate about teaching and make sure that my students do not get bored.

Children learn words and grammar primarily by mimicking the speech they hear and receiving positive feedback for correct usage. First, they must listen to recognize sounds/words to comprehend mostly by association, then repeat. The next step is speaking, reading, and writing. Grammar and communication skills follow through exposure, interaction, and cognitive development. An example could be one sentence rephrased or restructured but still expressing the same meaning. My aim is to keep learners involved at all times. After the introduction of new words, expressions, colloquialisms, a new story is presented, analyzed, and some students must ask questions while others provide answers leading to a brief summary. We also try to sing a new song each session or learn various parts to a play we may perform at the graduation.
