My teaching approach combines structured explanations of key concepts with interactive discussion and case-based learning. I draw directly on real-world policy examples, simulations, and scenarios so that students can see how theory translates into practice. I also encourage students to ask questions, debate perspectives, and apply concepts to current global affairs.
A standard session begins with a short overview of the topic, followed by guided discussion and analysis of a case study (for example, a recent diplomatic crisis or trade negotiation). Students are then asked to apply frameworks to the issue, either through short exercises, mock briefings, or policy recommendations. Lessons close with practical takeaways and suggested readings.
What makes my tutoring unique is the blend of academic training and professional experience. As a program director, published policy analyst, and former civil servant in both Canadian and international institutions, I offer insights that go beyond textbooks. Students not only learn the material but also how to think like policymakers and strategists.
My lessons are tailored for undergraduate and graduate students in political science, international relations, and public policy, as well as professionals seeking to strengthen their knowledge of geopolitics, strategy, and global affairs.
