About Susann

I am a 45-year-old native German speaker living in Sweden, where I work as a consultant after many years as an event manager and former journalist. As a wife and mother of one, I understand the importance of patience, good communication and creating a positive learning environment.

My career has always involved explaining ideas clearly, communicating with people from different backgrounds and helping others achieve their goals. I am reliable, well-organized and committed to preparing lessons that are tailored to your individual needs.

If you are looking for a calm, friendly and encouraging tutor, I would be delighted to help you improve your German with confidence and enjoyment. Outside of work, I love cooking and I'm an enthusiastic bookworm, so I enjoy bringing authentic language, culture and interesting conversations into my lessons.

About the lesson

Learning a language should be enjoyable, practical and stress-free. My goal is to help you build confidence in German at your own pace, without the pressure of perfection. As a native German speaker with a background as a journalist and consultant, I know how important clear communication is. I enjoy explaining things in a simple, approachable way and adapting to each student's individual needs.

My lessons are tailored to your goals. Whether you are learning German for travel, work, university, moving to a German-speaking country, or simply for personal interest, I will create lessons that are relevant and engaging. We can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary or a combination of all of these.

A typical lesson begins with a short conversation to help you feel comfortable speaking German. We then work on new vocabulary or grammar using practical, real-life examples, followed by speaking exercises to help you actively use what you have learned. At the end of each lesson, we review the key points and discuss what you would like to focus on next.
What sets me apart is my calm, patient and encouraging teaching style. I understand that speaking a new language can feel intimidating, so I create a relaxed atmosphere where making mistakes is part of the learning process. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and practicing without fear of being judged.

My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate learners and advanced students who would like to improve their conversational German, prepare for work or interviews, expand their vocabulary or simply become more confident when speaking. Lessons are conducted in German or English, depending on your level and preferences.
