About Anushruti

Hello! I’m a trained Kathak dancer with over 15 years of experience in this beautiful classical art form. I hold a Diploma in Kathak and have had the privilege of learning from esteemed gurus who’ve helped shape my journey as both a performer and teacher. I have taught and performed extensively in India and Canada, which has allowed me to blend deep-rooted traditional knowledge with a modern, accessible approach to teaching. Whether you’re a beginner looking to explore Kathak or an intermediate student aiming to strengthen your technique, I aim to make each class enriching, disciplined, and joyful. With me, you’ll not only learn the technical aspects of Kathak but also connect with the emotion, rhythm, and storytelling that make this dance form timeless.

️ About My Kathak Lessons Namaste! I offer classical Kathak dance lessons for all age groups and skill levels – from curious beginners to passionate advanced learners. My teaching is deeply rooted in traditional techniques, with a personalized and friendly approach to help you grow confidently as a dancer. ⸻ What You’ll Learn: • Kathak foundations – Tatkaar (footwork), Chakkars (spins), Hastaks (hand movements) • Taal & Laya training – understanding rhythm and beats through bols and practical application • Abhinaya (expression) – storytelling through facial expressions and gestures • Theory and history of Kathak – to understand the cultural richness of the art • Choreographies and compositions – for stage performances and exams ⸻ Certification – Diploma & Degree I also train students for recognized diploma and degree courses in Kathak from reputed institutions like: • Prayag Sangeet Samiti Students are prepared for theory and practical exams, and guided step-by-step to complete their certification levels (Prarambhik to Visharad/B.A. equivalent). ⸻ ️ Class Format: • Online (Zoom/Google Meet) • Flexible scheduling – weekday/weekend batches • Special batches for kids (5+), teens, and adults • Group and individual sessions ⸻ Why Learn with Me? • 100% attention to form, grace, and clarity • Encouraging, structured, and joyful learning space • Class recordings, practice videos & exam material provided • Support for performances, exams, and competitions

Being on the dance floor could be a daunting task for a person born with two left feet, therefore you need a teacher who can instill confidence in you. Anustruti gives you the confidence to own up the floor. She has the ability of breaks down the most difficult dance moves and makes you slay them.

More than that, she has had the experience of training large groups but still has the capability to give each individual her time and attention.

It isn't easy to make a non-dancer groove, she does that.
