About Rina

I am a passionate guitar tutor with 11 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies. My specialty is world music, covering styles such as Flamenco, Bossa Nova, Indian Classical Fusion, and African fingerstyle. I love sharing the richness of cross-cultural musical traditions with my students.

My lessons introduce rhythmic diversity, alternate tunings, and techniques unique to different musical cultures. I focus on helping students develop both technical skill and musical expression. Through practice and exploration, learners gain confidence in improvisation, composition, and performance.

I emphasize understanding the cultural context behind each style, connecting music to history and tradition. My approach blends structured exercises with creative experimentation, ensuring each lesson is engaging and meaningful. I adapt lessons to suit beginners, intermediate players, and advanced musicians alike.

Whether you want to master intricate fingerpicking, explore new rhythms, or expand your musical vocabulary, I guide you every step of the way. My goal is to cultivate both skill and a deep appreciation for global music. I invite you to join a session and explore the world’s sounds through the guitar together.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping students play guitar with skill, expression, and confidence. I cover classical fingerpicking, staff reading, hybrid picking techniques, and tonal control. Lessons are designed to strengthen both technical ability and musical creativity.

I emphasize proper posture, hand positioning, and finger exercises to build precision and speed. Students learn to read music and apply it directly to their playing. I include exercises that improve timing, rhythm, and dynamic expression.

Each lesson is tailored to individual goals, whether performing, recording, or exploring new styles. I guide students to develop their own musical voice while mastering established techniques. For teenagers and aspiring recording artists, I focus on practical skills for performance and studio work.

I encourage experimentation, composition, and improvisation to deepen understanding and enjoyment. Feedback is clear, constructive, and aimed at steady improvement. My method helps students progress from basic chords to advanced techniques confidently. By combining structure with creativity, I ensure every session is productive and inspiring.
