Perfect! Mari was a great teacher and very pleasant and professional to work with. I had no previous experience at all and in general I'm nervous when it comes to things like this. She was able to get me moving around the rink in only two lessons and was very understanding of taking things at my pace, while also pushing me out of my comfort zone. She was always on time and very easy to work with in terms of scheduling. I recommend coach Mari to anyone who is interested in picking up roller skating!

What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.
I skate since I was 8 years old. This sport brings back many wonderful memories, especially the one about my figure skate team in Italy.
What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?
Other than skate, I teach yoga. I'm a passionate hoop dancer and skier too.
What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?
My focus is on the "feel-good-factor": When I connect deeply to my flow body, whether that be for a moment or through devotional practice, I allow myself the space to recharge, to heal.
Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?
After many years of figure skating I decided to learn roller dancing - which is a totally different animal!
How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?
Achievements and challenges in sport help to develop focus and awareness. Being present in sport develops a more focused mind.
If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?
I like to have conversations with people practicing different disciplines than mine so I can learn their approach and story.
How do you help people stay motivated?
All my students have fun when skating. I make sure they feel safe and comfortable experimenting with transitions, new techniques, and tricks.
