About Hajin

Hello! I’m Hajin, a native Korean teacher based in Stirling, Scotland.

Are you interested in learning Korean and discovering the culture behind the language? I’d love to help you!

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Korean Language Education and am a certified Korean language teacher. As a qualified teacher, I understand that everyone learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each student’s level, interests and goals.

I’m also passionate about Korean culture beyond the language. I hold a Korean cuisine cooking qualification and a Dietitian’s licence, giving me a strong background in Korean food, cooking and nutrition.

So if you love Korean food, K-dramas, K-pop, travelling to Korea, or simply want to understand everyday Korean culture better, we can bring these interests into our lessons!

My goal is to help you not only learn Korean, but actually feel comfortable using it in real-life situations.

Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some Korean knowledge, I'll create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment where you can learn at your own pace.

Never studied Korean before? No worries! We can start from Hangul (한글) and gradually build your vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and speaking skills.

*Conversation & Speaking
Want to speak Korean more naturally? We’ll practise useful expressions and real-life conversations rather than simply memorising textbook sentences.

*Grammar & Vocabulary
Korean grammar can sometimes feel confusing, especially because the sentence structure is different from English. I’ll explain it clearly and step by step, with plenty of practical examples.

️* Travel Korean
Planning a trip to Korea? We can focus on useful Korean for restaurants, cafés, shopping, transportation, hotels and everyday situations.

* Korean Culture, K-dramas & K-pop
Language and culture go hand in hand! We can use K-dramas, K-pop, Korean media and everyday situations to learn expressions that Korean people actually use.

* Korean Food & Cooking
Love Korean food? This can also be part of your Korean learning experience!
With my background in Korean cuisine and nutrition, I can introduce you to Korean dishes, ingredients, cooking methods, food-related vocabulary and Korean dining culture.
You can learn Korean while discovering the stories and traditions behind foods such as 김치, 비빔밥, 불고기 and 떡볶이.

* Personalised Lessons
Every student has different goals. Some want to speak Korean with friends, some want to travel around Korea, while others want to understand Korean dramas without subtitles.
I’ll tailor the lessons to your level, interests and learning goals, so you can focus on what is most useful and enjoyable for you.

* TOPIK & Academic Korean
If you are preparing for TOPIK or studying Korean more seriously, I can also help you develop your grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing skills.
