About Linet

Hi, I’m Linet—a passionate and dedicated Biochemistry student at UBC, where I’ve been recognized with prestigious scholarships including the International Major Entrance Scholarship (IMES) and the Outstanding International Student (OIS) Award. I completed the IB Diploma Programme, so I understand the demands of a rigorous academic curriculum and how to succeed in it. In addition to my academic background, I have meaningful experience volunteering with children through educational outreach programs, including my work with Let’s Talk Science and the Red Cross Society. These roles have strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and create a warm, encouraging learning environment where students feel heard and supported. I offer personalized online tutoring in Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics for middle school and high school students, including those in IB, AP, or enriched programs. As someone who’s recently navigated the same academic path, I bring empathy, patience, and a structured, concept-based approach to help students not just improve their grades—but truly understand and enjoy what they’re learning.
