About Cindy

Hi, my name is Cindy, and I recently graduated from college as a Digital Designer. I was born and raised in Mexico, so I speak fluent (Latin) Spanish. My family is Chinese, so I also speak Chinese Cantonese at home, and I use basic Chinese Mandarin with strangers and friends. I started learning English in elementary school, but didn't pay attention until I was in High School. What motivated me to teach Spanish? I grew up with parents who didn't speak the language, so they struggled when they were trying to teach me. Now, growing up, I have been the one teaching them what the words or phrases mean and how they are pronounced correctly. Also, I love chatting with the clients who visit my family's restaurant to help us out. I love keeping the conversation going and being excited.

About the lesson

My teaching style is very casual, which will increase your own confidence while communicating with others. I offer Spanish to travellers — focused on practical phrases, some cultural tips, and real-life situations to help you feel confident during your trip. I adapt lessons to the learner’s level, goals, and preferred way of learning. For Spanish, I employ a communicative approach that incorporates real-life conversations, interactive exercises, and cultural references to make learning a natural and enjoyable experience. These lessons will help you appear as if you are not a tourist trying to speak Spanish, but rather someone who actually speaks the language.
