About Chloé

I'm a French street photographer, film producer, and educator based in Montreal. My photographic work has been exhibited internationally and has received numerous awards. In France, I have also worked as an educator in official school settings, introducing both children and adults to the art of photography through creative workshops and summer camps.

With a Master's degree in Literature, Linguistics, and Film Studies from Sorbonne University in Paris, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to teaching photography, combining visual composition, storytelling, and artistic expression.

My lessons are designed to help students develop their technical skills, sharpen their artistic eye, and discover their own photographic voice, whether they are complete beginners or experienced enthusiasts looking to take their work further.

My teaching approach combines technical guidance, artistic exploration, and visual storytelling. As a street photographer, writer, and film producer, I believe photography is more than mastering a camera: it is learning to observe the world, anticipate moments, and tell meaningful stories through images.

My teaching methodology :

I adapt each lesson to your level, interests, and creative goals. We explore the fundamentals of photography, including composition, light, exposure, perspective, and timing, while developing your ability to recognise compelling scenes in everyday life. I combine practical exercises, discussions of photographic references, image analysis, and personalised feedback to help you develop both your technical skills and your own artistic vision.

A typical lesson :

We begin by discussing your interests, goals, and previous experience. We then focus on a specific topic, such as composition, capturing candid moments, working with natural light, or building a visual narrative. Depending on your preferences, we analyse photographs together or practise through guided street photography exercises. We finish by reviewing your images, identifying areas for improvement, and setting creative challenges for you to explore between lessons.

What sets me apart :

My background in film production and writing brings a storytelling perspective to photography. I encourage students to look beyond aesthetics and consider the emotions, social dynamics, and narratives within a frame. My experience as a street photographer has taught me to appreciate the unexpected moments that make everyday life extraordinary. My goal is to help you develop a distinctive visual voice rather than simply follow technical rules.

What you will achieve :

By the end of our lessons, you will be able to use your camera more confidently, compose stronger images, recognise interesting moments and lighting conditions, and approach everyday scenes with a more creative eye. You will learn how to select and edit your photographs to create a coherent visual series, while developing your own photographic style and storytelling skills. Most importantly, you will leave with practical techniques you can apply independently and a portfolio of images that reflects your personal perspective.
