Are you looking to master the dramatic, expressive, and beautiful medium of charcoal? Whether you are a complete beginner picking up charcoal for the first time, or an aspiring artist looking to refine your shading and portrait skills, this class is designed for you!
I offer personalized, step-by-step charcoal drawing lessons tailored specifically for adults and youth/teens (ages 12 and up).
What You Will Learn:
The Fundamentals: Understanding charcoal types (willow, vine, compressed, and charcoal pencils).
Shading & Values: How to create dramatic contrast, smooth gradients, and realistic light/shadow effects.
Texture & Blending: Mastering blending tools, kneaded erasers, and creating textures like skin, hair, or still-life objects.
Proportion & Perspective: How to accurately sketch your subject before applying charcoal.
