About Tyrian
I have a bachelors degree in sociology and a minor in psychology. In my day to day I manage sales and marketing for a small business to countries in Latin America. Spanish is my second language and I often use it in at work. I also speak Spanish with my friends and family everyday just because I love it! I am always learning new jokes and words from different Spanish speaking countries and I love to share those with my students. I learned Spanish from my family, formally through classes in college and immersion by traveling to South America and spending time with native speakers over the course of a few months.

Conversation, conversation, conversation. In order to learn how to express yourself you need to challenge yourself and it is ok to make mistakes when you are learning to speak. That is part of the learning process!
A strong foundation is very important. I believe that it is important to build a strong understanding of conjugation first, once we have that nailed down all it takes is practice in conversation.
As your tutor we will be studying conversations and vocabulary for a variety of situations. Homework may include listening to music and watching shows in Spanish which I believe effectively help a learner develop an ear for the language. Additionally, I recommend keeping a daily journal in Spanish in order remain consistent in your use of the language whether or not you have regular tutoring sessions.
