My teaching methods involve starting from the basics. Asking the students questions to check the level of their understanding of the topic (sometimes through assignment given to them in the previous class). This will enable me know if the students are on the same page with me. For example, if I'm to teach a group of students a maths topic SURD. I will ask if anybody in the class can define the topic SURD for me. If I found out only few students could define the term SURD for me, it will make me reduce my pace of teaching so I can carry everyone along, give them assignment after the class, check the assignment so as to know the level of their improvement before moving to the next topic.
