About Ruth

My name is Ruth O’Hare. I am a second-year student at the University of Galway, studying Spanish with Commerce and completing a Diploma in Irish. I want to help others achieve success in their Irish studies as someone who received an H1 in the Leaving Cert, spent summers in the Gaeltacht, attended Irish camps yearly, studies Irish in college, and spoke in Irish to my grandfather from a very young age. I have lots of experience teaching language after spending a sumer in a YMCA camp in Spain teaching Spanish teenagers and kids English. I believe that the way Irish is taught needs to be improved and I wish to make that change to make irish accessible.
