About Deirdre
My name is Deirdre Cronin and I completed my leaving cert exams in 2025. As a result of my passion for the Irish language following many summers in the Connemara Gaeltacht, I achieved a mark of 93% in my leaving cert Irish exam. As someone who did not attend an Irish speaking school, I feel that I can help students struggling with their Irish as I have been in their shoes. I am now a student of Trinity College Dublin, where I have continued studying languages through my degree in speech and language therapy.

About the lesson

English
Work on basic building blocks of the Irish language such as grammar and vocabulary to strengthen the student’s overall level of Irish. This will include H1 standard notes on coursework and sraith pictures, as well as comprehensive vocabulary lists to expand in all areas of learning. Lessons may vary from 30 minutes to an hour long depending on the needs of the student and their available time. These lessons may be useful for junior and leaving cert students aged 12-18 with all levels of Irish.
