1:1 Leaving Certificate French Grinds from an Irish student studying in France.

Tom really helped me when I was struggling with Leaving Cert French. He was so patient and encouraging, and made everything much easier to understand while helping me build my confidence. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a friendly and supportive French tutor!

Tom is a patient teacher who encourages and motivates you while learning French!! Tom gave me lessons in preparation for my leaving cert French and brought me all the way up from the brink of failing to a high H2. This grade improvement helped me to get into my dream course!!

Tom gave me lessons for my French leaving cert exam, mostly for the spoken exam. At the start, I was an H4/H5 student. When I got my results, I received an H2. Tom insisted I get it rechecked, and to my surprise, I got an H1! Without Tom's help and belief in me, I wouldn't have gotten my course. I couldn't recommend anyone better!

Tom gave me French grinds after I did badly in my French mocks and got a h5. I ended up getting a h1 in French in the actual leaving cert, and he was just a big help.

Not only does he speak French basically like a native, and improved my confidence in spoken and written French generally, he has a great understanding of how to do well in the leaving cert specifically - what the examiner is looking for in written composition, how to effectively answer listening and reading comprehensions.

Tom is patient, kind, and committed when it comes to being a teacher. He created a judgment-free zone where you are encouraged to speak French, ask questions, and helped keep me motivated when it came to improving my French. I would definitely recommend him, especially as someone who was initially so shy at speaking French and writing pieces of work. I have gotten a lot more confident in these areas, thanks!
