About Abi
I have always been passionate about music. I am a first year University student, studying music production and performance at BNU. I have been playing the violin for 12 years, was a member of the Jersey Music Service for 11.5 years, and progressed through various orchestras up to Jersey Symphony orchestra, before coming to university. I completed my grade 5 violin exams few years ago, however due to covid was unable to continue with further exams.
I used to help teach primary school orchestras once a week for 3 years.
I completed A Levels in music and music technology.

Lessons are available for beginner violinists from primary school age. Each lesson will last 1 hour.
Beginner students will learn the types of notes, note spelling, and musical terms from a beginner level. Student with prior beginner knowledge will learn to develop their skills such as sight reading, and how to tune their own instrument (parents of beginners may need to assist in tuning). Each lesson will include at least 5 minutes focused on a skill based activity, such as scales and arpeggios, bowing techniques, ear training, or posture. Lessons will also include at least 5 minutes where the student can bring a song they would like to learn to play to keep them engaged.
