I approach each student with a teaching based on their weaknesses and strengths. I will put together a class that is suitable for the student's level, as well as challenge them. Each class would include exercises and explanations of the subject, and the problems that the student has.
- Deploy communication skills and ability to transmit knowledge - Understand and use reasoning to solve problems - Analyze different texts and interpret them to infer a meaning - Demonstrate mastery of management and organization of my classroom - Encourage, explain and unite my students - Demonstrate public speaking skills with bold speech - Balance time efficiently and prioritize tasks
I know writing can be hard and incredibly frustrating- but I can help! I help students learn how to organize their writing, making the seemingly daunting process of essay-writing enjoyable. This includes, but is not limited to, learning how to outline properly, how to edit your own work, and how to make sure work is concise, but still interesting. I also provide proof-reading.
I use an inclusive and open teaching methodology using a tiered approach to make sure that no student is left behind. I believe in open-ended assessment with options for students. I love working with students so they can improve their writing and editing and be prepared for the world ahead.
I am devoted to being patient and committed when working with the students. It is important to understand that every student has their own pace and understanding, which leads towards ensuring everyone is on board and understands what is occurring throughout the entirety of the lesson. Another part of my methodology is to make the class and lesson as fun as possible.
Methodologies change with every individual because we all learn differently.
I have been tutoring students from between the ages of 4 and 17 in a variety of subjects for 5 years. I have mainly tutored in essay writing, reading comprehension and English literature. However, I have also tutored in elementary and high school mathematics, along with high school biology and chemistry. As a tutor, I enjoy teaching through a lecture and conversational style.
I believe in doing what you love... Because end of the day it's you who should be happy & content with what you've done... I prefer more practicality than mugging up anything; listen-understand-learn! If you don't understand ask again, then again and again till it's CLEAR...
I focus on conversation and will try to make you speak as much as possible. As a French native speaker, I can switch easily between the two languages and give you the translation for the word you are looking for. I however do not have a strong French accent so no worries about that! Je donne des cours des conversations anglaises où mon objectif sera de vous faire parler un maximum.
My teaching methods are interactive. My classes do not offer ready answers. My methodology consists in inciting critical thinking and intellectual discussions. I create personalized strategies following the student's needs and expectations. My role is guiding students through their own learning process.
I focus on strengthening study methods and reading/writing skills, which are at the foundation of any subject; I offer critical insights into how to improve your writing, how to approach texts that intimidate you, and most importantly, how to work in a more efficient manner (rather than working more, which we all know is a bore) .
