I start my lesson by asking questions regarding the topic of discussion to assess students’ background knowledge. Later, I formulate my lesson starting with a focus on fundamentals concepts as well as any gaps that might hinder students’ ability to grasp the concepts.
The way I tutor includes, but is certainly not limited to, using different visual aids, making math relevant and meaningful, and providing help and preparing lessons according to how the individual student learns best and what the student's most important needs are. If the learner is grabbing the idea very quickly I can go deep into the subject and can help to understand a very vast area of that topic.
