About Chris

My name is Chris. I’m a first year University student with a few openings for tutor math and science from grades 7-12. I am easy going and can help you learn and love math!

I have been an honor student throughout junior high and high school, and have been tutoring in person for 3 years.

In spite of my honor student status, I can remember also struggling to master some of the concepts and am familiar with common challenges that stump students when trying to learn and apply the concepts. I've been there and I can help you get to mastery as well.

About the lesson

Hi – my name is Chris. I an a university student that has been tutoring math for 3 years. I am available for 1 on 1 tutoring in St. Albert.

I would love to help your child improve their understanding of math concepts and get the confidence and grades they are striving for. I am available for in-person 1-on-1 math tutoring from grades 7-12 in St. Albert.

I come from a family of math tutors, and as a result have learned the math tricks that the kids who get the answers so easily on those exams use to understand and remember the concepts.

I understand the struggle students face when the class moves faster than their needs, and with math, the snowball builds on itself and before the student realizes it, they are completely lost and feel helpless.

We can work together to get them back on track and feel good about going to math class instead of lost and stressed.

A typical session will be reviewing the recent material in class, performing and checking sample exercises, including any homework. I will work to find the points they are missing and fill in the gap. I show my students an easy way to understand and solve the math problems, so that they have a reliable way to figure out the answers on their own. We can also cover past material and set him or her up for success moving forward.

Math is essential to understand as the concepts will not only apply to this school year, but generally build upon the current concepts for future years. That means your investment into their math skills will pay back in dividends throughout the school career.
