Having done 2 years work at Accelerated Education I have great experience working with students from the age of 10 upwards, as well as private tutoring experience in Maths, Science and English with the students tutored jumping up to 3 grades in some cases.

I stress the importance of individualizing each session to the tutee, whether that be teaching more content to the more proactive students who can be trusted to do more problems between sessions, to guiding some students through problems more carefully to ensure a full and thorough understanding of the theory.
The lesson structure will include going over any problems set out to do in previous sessions, followed by an introduction of any new content and the workings behind it and then working through some guided sections to gauge understanding, working on from there.
I believe that the most important thing when tutoring is to be relatable to the tutee so that they do not see any tutor as an enemy, and more as someone they feel comfortable approaching if they don't understand something or find it difficult, and I feel that I am uniquely situated where I have a combination of this with a good amount of experience that can help me effectively get through to students and deliver the most effective tutoring.
