About Ruqayya
I’m a hard-working, determined A-Level Maths student who truly understands the difference a good teacher can make. My goal is to give other students the same positive and empowering experience I’ve had through supportive, high-quality teaching. I have experience working with a wide range of learners, including neurodivergent students, and I always tailor my approach to suit individual learning styles. I believe every student deserves to feel confident and inspired in how they learn, and I work to celebrate and support that journey. I’m friendly but firm – I’ll encourage students to stay focused, stay on top of their work, and push themselves to reach their full potential. With the right support, structure, and motivation, I believe every student can thrive in maths.

Lessons are typically an hour long and structured to build both understanding and confidence. I start by teaching the method clearly, then demonstrate worked examples. After that, we work through practice questions together and focus on developing strong exam technique. I’ve previously tutored both 11+ and GCSE Maths privately, with all my students achieving their target grades or gaining entry into their chosen schools. I also currently volunteer as a teaching assistant in a GCSE Maths class at my school, giving me ongoing experience supporting students of different abilities. My sessions are friendly, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs – whether you need help grasping tricky topics or pushing for top marks.
