About Mie
Why I Tutor:
Because I know how frustrating it feels to understand something but not be able to get the marks for it.
As a Media student myself, I completely understand what examiners are looking for and where students tend to slip up. I’ve helped peers improve essay clarity, coursework structure, and exam confidence, especially with those big evaluation questions that feel overwhelming at first.
My goal is to help you turn your ideas into clear, well-structured answers that actually score highly in exams.

My Teaching Style:
Bubbly. Very clear. Zero judgement.
I explain things in a way that actually makes sense, not overly academic, not robotic. I break everything down into simple steps and give you sentence structures and frameworks you can rely on in exams.
Lessons usually look like:
1. Quick warm-up question
2. Focused explanation (short + clear)
3. Practice together
4. Feedback with a specific improvement goal
You won’t just “go over content.” You’ll practise how to write it well.
Optional Coursework Support:
If you’re working on production coursework, I can also help with the technical side — including basic editing and effects in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. This includes learning editing techniques, effects, titles, and how to structure your media project.
