About Charlie

I’m someone who genuinely enjoys Design & Technology — not just the finished product, but the thinking behind it. DT has always been the subject where I felt most engaged, because it brings together creativity, problem-solving, and real-world logic. I want to tutor because I know how much of a difference it makes to have someone who can explain things in a way that clicks, and I want other students to feel the same confidence and satisfaction that DT gave me. I’ve built up strong experience in the subject and understand exactly how the course is structured, what good DT work looks like, and how to turn ideas into clear, well-justified decisions. Helping students improve their designs, strengthen their NEA, and realise what they’re capable of is something I find genuinely rewarding. So if you’re looking for someone who knows the subject well, communicates it clearly, and cares about helping you grow, that’s exactly why I’m here.

If you want a tutor who makes GCSE Design & Technology feel clear, practical, and achievable, I’m your person. I don’t just teach the content — I break it down in a way that actually makes sense, linking every topic to real design decisions you’ll use in your coursework and exams. I’ve consistently achieved top results in DT myself, and I know exactly what examiners look for: how to communicate ideas, justify materials and processes, structure strong portfolios, and avoid the common mistakes that lose easy marks. My sessions focus on building confidence, sharpening design thinking, and improving the quality of your written and practical work. Whether you need help understanding theory, developing a high-scoring NEA project, or preparing for the exam, I’ll guide you step by step and tailor everything to how you learn best. The goal is simple: raise your grade and help you feel proud of your work. If you want to improve quickly with someone who knows the subject inside out, I’m ready to help.
