My Approach as an English Tutor
I am a Liberal Arts student with a strong academic background in English, communications, critical thinking, and research. I bring patience, clarity, and genuine investment to every session. I believe understanding why something works matters more than memorizing rules — so that is exactly how I teach.
Teaching Methodology
I use a guided, conversational approach rather than lecturing. I ask questions that help students think through problems themselves, building real confidence alongside real skills. Concepts are taught through examples drawn from actual writing and reading, making lessons feel relevant and practical rather than abstract.
A Typical Lesson
We begin by identifying what the student needs most that day — a specific assignment, a recurring struggle, or a skill they want to build. Then we work through it together step by step. Writing is treated as a process: brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and revising. Reading comprehension is approached by breaking texts down into manageable parts and discussing meaning actively.
What Sets Me Apart
