My teaching methods are tailored to your skill set!
Working in small groups or one-on-one we'll hit the local public skate times and break down skating into achievable building blocks focusing on getting up without bambi legs, balance, how to fall safely and gently, weight transfer, stopping, turning, striding, crossovers, backwards skating and transitions! We will push your skating skills as far as you desire!
I have been rocking skates for over 25 years and teaching people to skate for at least 15 years. I started out on "Hockey" skates (I played ringette) and graduated to Rollerskates 10 years ago.
I can help you learn great skate habits by focusing on fundamentals and form, or maximize your stride and stopping techniques.
Public skate times/rental fees may apply. Hassen Arena offers public roller skating Fridays 7-9 and Sundays (mid-day) for $5, rentals are an additional $5
Minimum lesson time is 2hrs (get your first hour of your first lesson free! Does not include arena fees)
If you cannot make the above times I can come to you, with your help scouting a smooth surface. Empty parking lots, skateparks, your garage/basement will do! (travel fee will apply for anything further than Hassen)
