About Shivika
As a Linux trainer, I focus on building genuine connection with each student and creating a learning environment that feels engaging rather than intimidating — Linux can seem overwhelming at first, but it doesn't have to stay that way.
My teaching style adapts to the individual — whether you're just starting out with the command line or you're an experienced user looking to sharpen advanced skills like shell scripting, system administration, permissions, process management, or networking, I tailor each lesson to match where you currently stand and where you want to go.
I've taught Linux across multiple formats — one-on-one tutoring, small group sessions, and structured lectures — working with learners across different age groups and experience levels. That variety has shaped my ability to explain the same concept in different ways depending on what clicks for each person.
I genuinely believe every student is capable of mastering Linux with the right guidance, and I'm committed to helping you build real, practical confidence with the system — not just theoretical knowledge.

Teaching Methodology
My teaching style blends multiple approaches to keep learners engaged and ensure real understanding, not just surface-level familiarity.
I start each session by introducing the core concept — giving learners a clear overview of what's coming and helping them place it within the bigger picture before diving into details.
From there, I move into live demonstrations. Walking through a real-world example makes abstract ideas concrete, and this works especially well for learners who grasp things faster through visual or hands-on exposure rather than theory alone.
A typical session includes:
1 hour of hands-on practice with room for doubt-clearing along the way
Real-life use-case tasks so learners see how concepts apply outside the classroom
Supplementary basic skills woven in to fill gaps and round out understanding
That said, I recognize every learner absorbs information differently. So alongside the core method, I try to offer extra resources or alternate activities to accommodate different learning paces and styles.
Ultimately, though, how well any of this lands comes down to execution — not just having a good plan on paper. That's why I believe the fairest way to evaluate my teaching is through a live demo session, where you can see the approach in action rather than just reading about it.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
Learning C and C++ with Shivika was a really good experience. She explains concepts in a very easy and understandable way and makes sure that every topic is clear before moving forward. I especially liked how she connected theory with practical coding examples. She is friendly, patient, and always ready to help whenever I have doubts. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to build a strong foundation in C and C++ programming.
I learned a few concepts of mathematics and programming from her recently for my master's in Computer Application, and I have to say she helped me thoroughly with every unique problem, along with good flashcards to recall concepts in the blink of an eye.
Thanks, Shivika, for guiding me through the Linux concept. Your way of delivering the session is different from others; it's really helpful for me.
After getting the session from you, I really feel confident to move ahead in my Linux journey and am also able to do my assignments as well.
