About Akash
I am a Proficient and skilled 3D Character Modeling and Sculpting artist. Graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Master of Arts in Animation degree.
Worked back in India as a Faculty for half a year and taught Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, and Pixologic Zbrush to over 50 students a day. Worked as a Creative Manager for a hairstyling company and designed end to end rebranding solutions for the following. Throughout my career as an Animator, I also worked as a Freelance Designer for over 3 years, designing logos and creating labels and branding solutions.
Currently teaching 3D Modeling/Sculpting and 3D Texturing/Mapping at a French Game Design/Visual Communication Institute in Mumbai.

In the world of 3D, I love creating characters the most. Creating 3D Art is fun and although most of my students are from the age 16-35 years old, age has got nothing to do with it. All you need is an eagerness to learn! And a computer of course!
I follow the method used by Industry experts. There are many ways to teach modeling. Gaming companies like Ubisoft(Assassins Creed) follow different methods compared to companies like Riot Games(League of Legends)
How it usually works is that you design your character on pen-paper or digitally and Then you start the basic modeling. Follow that up with Unwrapping, Sculpting, and Texturing. And then finally Pose and Render your Scene. This is what Ubisoft follows.
On the other hand, Riot Games like to start with Digital Sculpting and designing the character concept on the go and then do something called Retopology. After which they Unwrap, and Texture.
I like to work with both methods depending on the student's interest, which is most important.
