About Douglas

I am a Canadian C-suite executive with BOD and CEO experience across four publicly traded companies and a background built on leadership, discipline, and high-stakes decision-making. Over the years, I developed expertise in capital markets, strategy, operations, and execution, while working in environments where clarity, accountability, and results mattered every day.

After a successful career as an executive, and later as a Momentum trader, I have now stepped into a more intentional phase of life in beautiful Ecuador, where I enjoy a simpler pace and a more grounded lifestyle. I value the principles of stoicism, including resilience, self-mastery, and focusing only on what can be controlled. That mindset now shapes both how I live and how I teach.

My approach is calm, practical, and experience-driven. I bring the perspective of someone who has operated at the highest levels of business and markets, but who also understands the value of simplicity, discipline, and clarity. Whether in business, markets, or life, I believe in building strong systems, staying emotionally steady, and making decisions with purpose.

About the lesson

I teach trading in a practical, structured way that helps students build real skill in the real world, not just memorize theory. My lessons cover the Moonshot Method, IBKR setup, screeners, risk management, and the use of AI tools like Perplexity to improve research and decision-making. Each session is tailored to the student’s level, whether they are a beginner learning the basics or an advanced trader refining their system. My goal is to help students develop a repeatable process they can actually use in the market.
