About David
I am a Mathematics high school teacher, a tutor, a Skipper and a marine Engineer. I've travelled and sailed around the world working in a multitude of different countries and professions. From these experiences I've developed a gentle and versatile demeanour which adapts to the student's needs, regardless of background or ability. I'm patient and easy to communicate with. Learning with me can be fun, exciting and very different from the traditional boring lessons that you may normally associate with doing Mathematics.

When I teach, I begin by listening. Learning is very individual and quite often students know more than they realise. With carefully tailored questions, the path to complete understanding can be an exciting journey. Once I know what you know, we can create a unique pathway to making that "ahhhh" noise which confirms the penny has dropped and you fully understand what you needed to. After that, its the 4 D's. I Demonstrate, then I Describe, then you Do and together we Develop the skills you've learned.
