About Jamie
I was born and grew up in Southeast China. Mandarin is my mother tongue and I have been using it for both work and life for more than 2 decades. I used to study for my master's degree in England and now I am living in Canada.
I have been teaching Mandarin since I was a freshman at university. Most of my students are either kids or adults from different countries, such as the UK, France, Japan, Canada, and South Korea. My students enjoy learning Mandarin with me not only because I help them improve their language skills, but also explain Chinese culture and rituals.
In my spare time, I play instruments every day, such as ukulele, guitar, accordion, and piano. Music is my passion.
