About Leyla

I am a Master in Fine Arts, I have been teaching any level art students for the past 14 years. I organized and curated art shows as well as I participated as a judge in many national and international art competitions. I have won many art awards, and I was published in many art books and magazines.

About the lesson

I start my teaching course with a review of students' artworks, to be better placed in the class structure or for a better understanding of subjects to be discussed. No works to review?... no problem, we start with the Fundamentals which are the most important part of an art journey. You know fundamentals, you will learn skills and techniques faster. My Drawing/Painting course consists of 13 sessions of one hour, this will be a session a week for 13 weeks. Each session consists of one lecture, a demonstration, practice in class, and homework for students. The last week will be a review of works and a free critique I offer for students to guide them for future lessons if they desire to go further in their art journey, so the 13th week will be a free session offered to all students.

My painting teacher, Leyal, is a wonderful teacher. I truly believe that without her help and guidance, my painting skills would not have been developed so fast. Two years ago, when I started with her, I was a real novice, not knowing much about painting and my skills were very basic and limited. I call myself now a “semi-professional”. It is all because of my wonderful teacher Leyal!

I have been fortunate to take Leyla's art classes since 2015. For an entire year of grace, 2015-2016, I also had the privilege to assist and help routinely during Leyla's art classes at LeyDan Academy.

Leyla is one of the most inspirational mentors I have met in my entire life. An academic instructor myself for many years, I know didactic professionalism when I see it. Leyla is the embodiment of passion and talent on the altar of education. Her teaching manners, creative and sometimes unconventional, reflect the character of an ardent artist and continuous emulating spirit.

Students, young and mature, love Leyla. Through the tempests of an artist, exigences of a perfectionist, Leyla's students follow her along for years and years with reverence and love. Some of them, grew artistically and not only, under her mentorship from an young age through adulthood.

Above all, Leyla is FUN!

She is definitely my SUPERPROF!!
