About Violet

I am a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master of Arts in French Studies. Over the years, I have worked with students of different ages and backgrounds, helping them achieve their goals in learning French. My speciality lies in preparing students for international exams such as DELF, DALF, and TEF. I design structured lessons that focus on the four key skills: writing, comprehension, listening, and oral expression. Each lesson is carefully planned to build both language ability and exam technique. I pay close attention to time management, guiding students on how to structure answers effectively under exam conditions. I also provide practice materials that mirror real exam formats, so students gain confidence before the test. Alongside exam preparation, I ensure that students develop fluency and accuracy for everyday communication. I believe that discipline and encouragement go hand in hand in language learning. My approach balances clear structure with patient support, so students feel motivated and challenged at the same time. I also adapt my teaching style to match each student’s pace and goals. Many of my students have achieved excellent exam results and, more importantly, a lasting confidence in their French. With the right mindset and guidance, fluency in French is absolutely possible. My goal is to help students not only succeed in exams but also enjoy the journey of mastering the language.

About the lesson

My teaching approach in French is practical, interactive, and tailored to each student’s goals. I start by building a strong base in grammar, pronunciation, and everyday vocabulary so students feel comfortable using the language in real-life situations. Pronunciation drills are an important part of my lessons, as they help students sound more natural and confident. I also introduce regional variations of French, showing how accents and expressions change across countries and cultures. Beginner dialogues play a key role in my sessions. They allow students to practise common phrases for travel, work, and daily communication. To support vocabulary retention, I use flashcards, storytelling, and simple conversation games. These methods make learning easier and more enjoyable. I work with students who want to use French while travelling, helping them master practical phrases, cultural etiquette, and confidence in speaking with locals. I also support learners with a family or personal connection to French, guiding them to strengthen both language and cultural understanding. Each lesson is designed to match individual needs, whether for casual use, study, or career growth. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing are always balanced in my approach. I believe learning French is not just about rules, but about connection and expression. My goal is to help students feel fluent, confident, and comfortable in using French every day.
