About Aven

My teaching approach brings French to life through cinema, culture, and conversation. I use French films, short clips, music, and news to create rich, immersive lessons that connect language to real-world use. Watching and discussing scenes helps students absorb vocabulary, expressions, and tone naturally. We don’t just learn words—we explore context, emotion, and cultural meaning. Reading aloud sharpens pronunciation and builds confidence. I guide learners through scripts, dialogues, and short stories to improve rhythm and flow. Grammar is taught through use, not drills—we apply it directly in conversation and writing. I support newcomers who need to build a strong base while adapting to a new culture. I also help professionals refine their language for work, travel, or personal goals. Every session is tailored to your pace and interest. About the lesson

I’m a French tutor with over 9 years of experience and a PhD in Quebecois Literature and Culture. My greatest joy comes from teaching children aged 8 to 14 through the magic of dramatic play, improvisation, and script reading—all in French. I believe language learning should feel like an adventure, not a chore.

In my sessions, students step into characters, create stories, and act out scenes, all while naturally absorbing vocabulary and grammar. I specialize in teaching foundational vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple sentence structures in fun, age-appropriate ways. Whether it's a pirate play or a café scene in Paris, every activity is designed to spark imagination.

My strength lies in making French playful, musical, and deeply memorable through performance. Children laugh, explore emotions, and gain language skills without even realizing they’re learning. I also focus on encouraging character development, helping students build empathy and creative expression.

Through guided improvisation and storytelling, even shy learners come out of their shells. My goal is to nurture both creativity and confidence in every young actor. When students connect emotionally with their roles, they connect more deeply with the language. Together, we turn learning French into a joyful stage.
