About Syed Imran Murtaza

I teach O Level, A Level, and university-level Computer Science, covering programming fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, computer systems, and exam-board specifications, helping students build both theoretical understanding and practical coding skills.

I currently work as a software developer with 3 years of experience, which lets me explain logical thinking and problem-solving in a practical, structured way, going beyond textbook theory to show students how these concepts work in real code.

I also bring classroom experience as a Cover Supervisor in UK secondary schools, supporting lessons across subjects and year groups, including students with special educational needs, which has directly shaped how I explain concepts patiently and adapt to different learning styles.

I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and Safeguarding training certificate, and I teach online using a digital tablet, writing, drawing diagrams, and solving problems step by step in real time, just like a classroom whiteboard.

I hold a Master's degree in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Liverpool, and I'm experienced in teaching Computer Science from foundational/pre-O-Level through O Level, A Level, and university level. My lessons cater to students of various ages and skill levels, fostering both academic success and genuine interest in the subject. I typically reply to new messages within the hour.
