About the lesson

I’m a passionate Math tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Computational Mathematics. My journey has led me to specialize in helping non-STEM majors—liberal arts students, humanities scholars, and lifelong learners—understand and appreciate the beauty of mathematics. I believe that math isn’t just numbers on a page; it’s a language of patterns, ideas, and relationships that shape the world around us. My approach is holistic and human-centered. I focus on deep conceptual understanding rather than overwhelming students with heavy computation. I often use everyday analogies—like comparing functions to recipes or discussing infinity through storytelling—to make abstract ideas more relatable. I also love weaving in historical context, showing how great minds tackled the same questions centuries ago. This helps students see math as a living, evolving discipline rather than a set of rigid rules. I’ve worked extensively with students who have experienced math anxiety or simply felt that “math isn’t for them.” Through patience, empathy, and curiosity, I help them rewrite that narrative.
