About Mehwish
I am a qualified Mathematics graduate with an MSc in Mathematics from Quaid-i-Azam University and a B.Ed in Education. I have a strong academic background in Mathematics and a genuine interest in helping students understand and enjoy the subject.
I want to teach because I enjoy explaining concepts in a simple and clear way, and I find it very rewarding when students gain confidence in topics they previously found difficult.

Topic: Algebra (Solving Linear Equations)
In a typical lesson, I would begin by identifying the student’s current level through a short diagnostic question or warm-up exercise. This helps me understand any gaps in their prior knowledge.
I would then introduce the topic of solving linear equations using simple, real-life examples to make it more relatable, such as balancing a scale. I would explain the concept step-by-step, demonstrating how to isolate the variable using basic arithmetic operations.
After the explanation, I would guide the student through a few worked examples, encouraging them to explain each step in their own words to ensure understanding.
Next, I would give the student practice questions starting from easy to more challenging levels. I would provide support where needed, but encourage independent problem-solving.
At the end of the lesson, I would summarize the key points and ask a few quick questions to check understanding. If needed, I would assign short homework to reinforce learning.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and focused on building confidence in Mathematics.
